How to change the timezone from EDT to PDT using Ntpd

Hi,

When I do date it says
>> Sun May 27 18:42:01 EDT 2007

What I want is
>> Sun May 27 22:57:11 PDT 2007

Also I want it to sync it with a global clock using Ntpd, please guide me with this. I am also reading it. I was able to change the timezone but still don't know how to sync it with a global clock.

NTP always works in UTC (ie GMT).

Depending on what flavour of *nix you are running you do slightly different things to change the *display* of time by timezone.

Check out [ntp.org...] for how to play with NTP.
