What can I do about a broken backlink?

Are these other sites' backlinks (incoming) or links you added to your site for your visitors (outgoing)? Where are you seeing them?

If you changed the URL for a web page then just set up a redirect to catch all the inbound links that would otherwise be broken.

If someone links to your site with the wrong URL then set up a redirect.

If someone misspells your domain in the link then ask them to fix it.
