I've got a nagging issue that is now costing me lots of time. A template designed for Dreamweaver was used for a site. The site works but for one thing: When I change the editable areas of text on a couple of the pages, the blue menu bar along the left splits with a gap.

This is driving me nuts! Over & over again I have to re post the file from backup copies, so that the broken site doesn't stay up there live for long.

It looks like a 1px clear gif is getting inserted, causing the space shown in the browser. When I create a page from the template, this space is not there. It's only an issue on some of the pages, when text/copy has been added.

DW hides the code for the menus because it's template based. I am ready to pitch DW 8.x for another program but for now, I need to finish this job.

Suggestions appreciated. But if you picture a 1 pixel tall space in the middle of a menu bar along the left side of a page, you get the idea.
