GA causes page to be greyed out in Firefox

Today I have found that one of my sites loads, then immediately greys out in Firefox but not IE

Checking the Generated Source in FF shnows this line at the bottom of my page code:

Removing the GA urchin code gets rid of the problem. Any idea what is going on?

That's not likely to be the GA code, so I have moved the thread to the HTML editor forum, to see if anyone there can help.

It was that piece in the code - id=ga_shade that led me to look at GA.

Removing the GA code solved the problem. Replacing the code with new GA code (as opposed to the old Urchin code I was using) caused the problem to return.

As the greying had a high z index, it also meant that none of the links on the site were active.

Just found the cause of the problem after doing some searches on "ga_shade"
It appears to be a bug connected with a cookies set when you use the Google Analitics page overlay to see the number of clicks on various links on the page. It can be resolved by deleting the cookie.
In my case, replacing the GA code after a few days I found everything to be fine (I assume the cookie had died by then)

The good news also is that it is only the owner of the GA account that sees this effect!

Would any mods like to move this back to the Analytics forum where I think it belongs?
