For those who started using Expression Web on a pre-existing Frontpage site, how exactly did you do it? Did you simply open the Frontpage site on your local machine in EW and start working, or did you have to create a new EW site then import your Frontpage site into it?

I just tried it now and I opened an existing FrontPage site in Expressions and it worked fine. What the pros cons of doing it in various ways I don't know but it does work.
If I was you I would take a copy of your frontPage site and then open that in Expressions. Make some amendments etc and see how it goes. If all is wellthen rename the files.

Be careful, if that FrontPage Web utilizes features that have become deprecated in Expression Web, there may be some challenges such as shared borders and stuff like that. Expression Web is also based on XHTML out of the box so you may also need to reconfigure your application settings to reflect those of your FrontPage Web.

Expression Web also uses CSS and not the font tags you may be used to.
