Adobe stuff has gotten so bloated lately, they are on my bad side. You can't install any of their apps without ending up with 6 more icons and 5 more programs, not to mention the very invasive update feature, which I thought I had turned off but still comes on (that may be my bad). I might switch to the Expression suite in protest. :<
i remember going to one of those free adobe photoshop sessions that adobe gave in london a couple of years ago and at one of the presentations the speaker said it wasn't going to be developed any further.
i'd agree that dw is gettign bloated - however it seems a natural consiquence of the way software liek that develops ... more and more functionality, both useful and not so useful, making it more and more bloated as it jumps from version to version.
Bloated apps - yes, why is that be the way! It's just too easy to to add bloat, but tougher to optimise. It's easier for the developers to apps on this bloat with a requirement for ever larger HD and more RAM.
The CS3 versions of DW and FW don't add any dramatic new features that justify the time it takes to install and the time it takes to open, compared to previous versions. Adobe's installer is a joke!. It's ridiculous!
Sorry for the rant, but I'm having issues with another Adobe app as I'm typing this, so I'm a bit grumpy :(
