I am creating a new design for an existing site that is based on Dreamweaver templates. There are 4 templates being used (variations in columns and layout) so I need to update all of them. My question and problem lies in creating editable regions that will not only transfer the old site info into the new (this I have achieved) but to transfer the styles (CSS) of my new template and apply them to the content. The styles setup in the new template are identical names to the old styles/template so I thought it would just update them by default but it has not.

For example, I have a template setup with 3 editable regions, the menu, body, and heading. I named these editable regions the same as the old template and the content transfered like a charm when I applied the new template to the page. But the new styles did not transfer. I setup a DIV (#pageheader) with a class of "heading" for the heading section (#pageheader .heading). But the header is choosing to take on the "body" font and style of the body region. What am I doing wrong here? Do you need more info?
