But I want something easy for this person so I won't get stuck doing it for her.

But do not, repeat, do not, let her run with it straight out of the box. Take the time to at least set up a proper DocType and tweak the preferences and options. Do this and you should never see a stray piece of code.

And you never know, once you get your hands on EW's code editor you might find it's a pretty nifty piece of gear in and of itself.

if you want something harder to use that makes more professional looking sites try dreamweaver.

Personally I use it in conjunction with a CMS because I can't stand editing raw and the WYSIWYG tool I make available to my users (TinyMCE) behaves badly when I toggle between rich text editing and plain text.

From a user standpoint, I think they are about the same.

From a code perspective, I belive Expression Web produces a much cleaner and friendlier code for the search engines.
