Basically I'm wondering if there's a solution to my problem. I want to be able to edit CSS (and hopefully HTML in the same program) with these nifty lightweight editors, but also have FTP integrated into it. I don't need any WYSIWYG support. Any chance there's a plugin for Dreamweaver that contains better CSS support? How about a 3rd party CSS editor that has decent FTP support? Am I asking too much?
Why bother making the integration of FTP a major factor in your decision?
I think that's because it is of more importance then the CSS editing. What he wants is integration and the ease of management/work flow that comes with it.
I use DW8 as well, and do all my html, php and CSS in there. I'm using the FTP waaay more then I do CSS, so for me the decision is based first on ease of managing multiple (> 100) websites, then the other factors...

Can't you just work in Code view then? I mean, it does autocomplete for you, what more do you want if you don't want wysiwyg (other then perhaps a color picker, which DW8 doesn't really have?).
