New Photoshop for Mobile Devices

Adobe just launched Photoshop.com Mobile, a much simplified version of Photoshop.

The new app allows you to upload videos, store up to 2GB for free, tag your images, apply simple filters, crop, rotate and then share your videos and photos in galleries.

The app also allows you to transfer photos to Facebook, Flickr, Picasa and more.

According to the Adobe site [kb2.adobe.com] the app will work on many mobile devices:

This was a matter of time, phone cameras are getting better and better all the time. A few years ago camera phones where only good for taking a chick shot. Now the quality is a lot better and almost pro level images are possible.

The growth of the mobile web is clearly being embraced by this.

Not really ridiculous. My iPhone has essentially replaced the need for me to travel with a laptop. A Mobile Photoshop app would be awesome for some bloggers and webmasters.

The user Interface on iPhones is getting less keyboard dependent.

I can see the benefits for quickly doing the basic edits for photos. Crop, levels, balance etc. But I imagine that's where the fun stops.

They've not done anything that Flickr isn't already doing with picnic. And of course with Flickr you get all the other tools too...

i think this mobile thing is a group of people that obsess over gadgets.

and max if your iphone has replaced the need for your laptop the the type of work you do while traveling must be LIGHT to say the least. there isn't 1 day i don't go without opening dreamweaver atleast once.
