Put image in background layer in fireworks to trace

Hi,

Is it possible to import an image in fireworks, change the opacity of it and have it in the background layer so you can trace it?

Yes. Create a new FW document window. Add a new layer.

Open your background image - and drag onto the new document.

Select the layer with the image and change opacity using tools in layer pallete.
