Hey there guys, I've been using photoshop 7.0 for about a year now and I've never experienced this problem before. The dotted marquee selection tool ( top left of the tool bar )has just stopped working all together. Everytime I try to select part of an image orsomething with it it loads for a second then I get an error saying " Warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selected edges will not be visble.", I've tried everything to fix it, even reinstalling photoshop all together but no luck. Any ideas? please feel free to help. :)

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums, Jason.

This can be something as simple as your "feather" setting being too high for the combination of the tool and the size of the selection you are trying to make. The message tells you that the tool is working and tht some pixels ARE partially selected -- just "less than 50%" selected, so you will not see any marching ants.

Ahh, I put the feather on " 0 px " and now it's working fine, thanks very much for you help and the swift reply!
