I created a number of maps in google maps, with walking directions from local landmarks to my target address in a city. What is the best way to use them to help with 3 packs rankings?

I've been experimenting with this, and it may not be the same as yours, however, here's my thoughts.
A map on a website, once indexed, is a great way for people to use a search engine to locate key directions, allowing a simple click-though.
Share the map with local websites that may not know the best way to add it to their site. Provide them with the code to embed on their site, and instruction on how to embed the map.
Share the maps on social media, but do remember to use the important keywords. For example, "Easy ways to walk from x to y"
