Report: Google Working on Voice Controlled Search Hardware, Codenamed "Chirp"

Many of you will be familiar with Amazon's Echo, and it looks as if it might be similar, and will enable search, and probably more by joining some dots in other Google products and services.
Google's device will resemble its OnHub wireless router, according to several sources. We don't know if it has a name yet, but internally the project goes by "Chirp."

Google declined to comment. The Information previously reported that Google was plotting a competing version of Echo, a portable speaker with voice assistant tech. Report: Google Working on Voice Controlled Search Hardware, Codenamed "Chirp" [recode.net]


Whilst "Chirp" is a codename, it sounds very twitter-ish, imho
