You can perhaps run a firewall in your machine to stop the coming of any suspected bug from the website.

You can view the Google Safe Browsing Diagnostic Report for your site at:

http: // www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=EXAMPLE.COM

Remove the spaces and replace EXAMPLE.COM with the name of your site, without http://

The reports at [safeweb.norton.com...] can be useful because if they find malware on your site, they sometimes report what kind it is and which specific files are infected.

Two places that will scan your website for malware are:
[unmaskparasites.com...]
[wam.dasient.com...]

And there are others that charge a fee.

Google Webmaster Tools will show you a few of your pages that are infected, but they won't help much other than that. You have to look elsewhere.

i recently was hacked by malware and the scan tools my host used as well as Dasient were not able to find the malware. I only found out which files to look in for the malware because google reported which files were infected in my webmaster tools account. you can read about it here: [webmasterworld.com...]

my question is, does anyone know of a tool that will be able to detect this type of injection, where it has injected itself into the javascript in a file?

i also have another question. my host says that if i change my ftp password, as well as change my password to access my account directly through the host, and then i also set up ftp.allow to only allow my IP address to ftp to my site, that i am covered against hackers.

is there anything that they have overlooked? is there any other way that someone could hack my site?

Any other way to hack? Determination, all the time in the world, and having no care they do wrong.

Expect it... daily, and check your system and logs at least once a week. Can you harden access? Yes. All the above are a good start, but nothing is better than eyeballs on the product.
