Hi,

Is there any way to search for:
"widgets"

including the quotation marks?
In other words I am looking for documents which contain the term widgets within quotation marks.

Just to confirm, are you talking about searching local documents via desktop search?

Hi encyclo,
Apologies for non-clarity. I am talking about Google web-search. So to keep it on topic in this category it would be a general search on the Google toolbar which is equivalent to a google.com search box search.

I am not talking about desktop search specifically.
I did some research regarding search operators and so on. It seems the feature is lacking from all major search engines.
Someone seems to have come up with the idea that the contents within quotation marks must be treated as an exact phrase and everyone else has copied the concept. :)
