Lifehacker ran an interesting poll where they asked users which SNS they prefered.

    They forgot one:
    - Google+ was forced on millions of users who didn't want it

I've yet to see worthwhile traction on G+, whereas, I see traction on FB.

I get the impression that G+ has more people posting, but not interacting.

I'll give FB the +1 for the time being.

Personally and professionally I find Google+ without any positive aspects.

Add the authorship tag to your website and get a rich snippet appear in the search results, that definitely improves the CTR as well as defining your web content to be yours which helps stop scraped site getting better search positions than you.

Collect a good following on G+ which gives anyone logged in an enhanced Google search engine position for your work.

Get good Google search engine placement for any of your posts on G+, have you not noticed how Google are giving their own products priority.

Build up a good PR for your Google+ profile which will give good link juice to any linked websites.

I could go on but to say that there are no positive aspects seems just a little short sighted

I use both, and right now I'd say I find FB better because I'm used to it. It's easier for me to share things via FB and get it out to a wider audience. That being said, I use G+ and am trying to build up my circles. G+ (once you have a respectable following) makes it easier to share information with the circles you choose, so imo it can be a little more precise than FB.

It's true fb got everyone at the moment but g+ is a lot easier to use and the one of the best tools for your business

At this point in time Google+ wins for me. The ability to link for value, the share system, and the communities are all a warm welcome. I feel that Facebook is better for marketing once you have a following, utilizing boosted posts.

I post every day on both Facebook and Google+ for my sites and my client sites. Facebook delivers about 20 times the clickthrough traffic to our Web sites, but Google+ does help a bit with rankings.

G+ links recently became nofollow, which removes a major benefit.

I enjoy how Google+ integrates with all the other Google products like hangouts, helpouts, phone, wallet etc. etc. Between Google+ and Twitter you do not need much else to ge the word out. Facebook's value seems to be steeped a lot in the fact that it was a first mover but not so much an innovator of valuable tools like Google is.

Yeah...sometimes you post a photo or video that you didn't know was going out to all your circles:-(

You should be on both. Google is better for helping pages rank as compared to Facebook which is better for driving traffic to those pages. The key is learning how to effectively use each one.
