After the vanity URL roll out Google+ has now come up with new look for G+ profiles and pages. Here you can see the new look of Matt Cutts profile: [plus.google.com...] and SearchEngineLand.com page: [plus.google.com...]

With this change Google has added space in the right and left side of the profile/pages and dashboard. Wondering whether this new look is for the good or for adwords ads.

It's starting to look a lot more like a twitter home page, or a facebook page with, as you suggest, space for ads.

@Admin:

With the recent modifications and changes that Google has come up with in its products we have seen Adwords being targeted mostly with or without any announcement. However apart from the space to be used for ads I am wondering if they will use just one side for ads and the other probably for real-time updates worldwide following hashtags, either related to the categories preferred by users.

This particular move can also improve its activity index and probably more users will get attracted.
