Can you have more than one file uploaded?

I have two sites where I'm using google base feeds. I got them a bit out of sync timewise. In other words, they don't both expire on the same date.

If I have a file uploaded that is two weeks or so away from expiration, can I simply re-upload the file?

Sure, you can re-upload the file as often as you want. You don't need to wait until it expires.

I've actually found that my ranking can improve if I keep the feed fresh by uploading it every few days or at the most once a week.
