terms of service regarding creating a local copy

I'm working on a project for which I'd like to make a local copy of product information on google base. I would then enable users within my application to send an email about the products to the email address listed with the products (I'll only list items that actually have an email address attribute.)

I've looked at the Google Base terms of service and many other resources on their site, and I feel that nothing forbids this from doing this. Does anyone know of a rule that prevents me from doing this, and if so, can you describe where I can find this in the google base documentation?

#8 may pertain to your question. It states:

8. NO RESALE OF SERVICE

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, or resell any portion of Google services, use of Google services, or access to Google services.

I suggest you look into using the Google Base API. I think the API can accomplish what you want to do without violating their TOS.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't mention it in my original post, but I am planning to use the google base API...
