I was pleasantly surprised to see some traffic coming from product search even though I never uploaded pages or anything.
However, my site has since disappeared. Is this normal?

Froogle does include product pages retrieved via regular crawling but as it has difficulties to determine the right attributes, this inclusion is not guaranteed. And crawled product pages will always show below the feed results.
If you've enjoyed Froogle traffic, you should submit a feed.

I would login to your Google account and see if your feed is updated. With our sites, we have to submit a new feed at least every 30 days or our account goes offline.
