The reason I ask is I've been able to do just that, make the expiration date, say, "2017-01-01". Then when I send the product bulk upload file, Google Base just automatically sets the product's expiration date to 31 days from the upload date. I know, doing it this way is a bit lame on my part, but it's an easy way to set up a Google Base feed (via Template Toolkit) but not have to worry about doing the logic for "print the date that's 31 days from today".
It's been working fine for a while, but then a couple of my clients just received that 'New product upload requirements' email, the one that says, "Please review the following bulk uploads - they do not currently meet the minimum attribute requirement..."
Now, I definitely have all 10 required attributes, so the one thing that I'm thinking may be messing up is that "far in the future" expiration date. The thing is...it works, at least as far as Google Base updating the expiration date to 31 days from the bulk upload date.
So should I just ignore that email and trust that the feed will continue to work after the February deadline, or is this definitely going to kill the feed?
