Just upgraded to Chrome 59 today. The user interface on settings changed as well. Some may find it user-friendly though, while others may not. What do you guys think of this update?

Hi Andi_Hannah welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

RE: Google Chrome Version 59.0.3071.86 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Been using Chrome on Desktop, Tablet (Surface) and Android Phone. Fastest browser of them all. I love it. I use Google Home & Chromecast; they all sync allowing file sharing & streaming. Once you start exploring the potential between sharing files between devices, it opens up new thinking.

One feature I was hoping this update would include is the setting to open all links in a new tab, especially from favorites. This did not happen... so I'll continue to open a new tab, then go to favorites and fill it with a web page -or - give my finger a work-out using the right-click menu.

give my finger a work-out using the right-click menu.

On your desktop, tapping the third mouse button (or wheel) works, too. That's what I use.

Really? I'll try that next time I'm at my desk, thanks Rob.

Does anyone else have trouble resizing the Chrome window when not maximized on Windows 10? It seems to be limited to the right hand side (but that's where I use it most often). The resizing cursor doesn't even appear. It does appear in the corners and when hovering over the other edges, but not on the right side unless I've resized it from another point first. Not new to 59, I had the same thing in 58.

I constantly resize windows, with 2 or 3 open at a time (32" monitor.) Never had any issues. The resize grabber should work anywhere, not just in the corners.

Maybe review your system cursor settings?

It's only Chrome that has the issue, other programs I can resize just fine from all sides. Oh well, not that big a deal.

I like the Material Design settings, much more compact than before.

They should have fixed something about their rendering engine. Because, I had an absolute positioned div, with css glow effect, and fade-in / out mouse over effect, and it kept flashing black rectangles all over the page when the mouse was moving. Now, all is fine. (it was fine with other browsers).

Yes, Chrome has had a few rendering issues with some CSS elements. 57 was mis-aligning forms when the other browsers were fine. 58 fixed that.
