Google has said it's Chrome browser for mobile now has an extended Data Saver feature which, when selected, could save as much as 70% by reducing the data downloaded and removing most images.

Once the page has downloaded the user can choose which individual images to download, or all the images at once.

Probably very good for slow connections, or for those wanting to limit their data downloads.

The roll out is India and Indonesia first, with everyone else following in the coming months.
