Chrome Autofill Issue

A client of mine noticed suddenly in the past month or so that a bunch of their orders were coming in with the phone number in the Company field. Once it started happening over and over, they actually called the customers to see if they could figure out what was happening, and it turned out that all the users were on Chrome, and autofill for some reason now puts a phone number in the Company field on the checkout form. I can reproduce this myself. The site has been up for years and years, but this just started happening. I'm trying to figure out if it's a Chrome issue or something coded wrong in the site. Anybody ever experience anything like this?

Autofill is on by default in Chrome and Chrome is an increasingly popular browser, so maybe it's just coincidence?!

When a form autofills a "visible" field the user should still be reviewing what has been auto-filled, otherwise they could end up inadvertently submitting sensitive information - presumably they are not? Or are you using some AJAX wizardry?

For autofill to work reliably does require all websites to be consistent in their naming convention. What is the name of this "company field"? If another popular website is (inadvertently) using the same element name for the phone number then there could be a problem.
