my chrome usage always on high, when i m opening 3 or 4 tabs, chrome appearing slow

I usually have between 40 and 90 tabs open across 2 or 3 windows. Lately the Chrome thread with type=gpu-process has been taking up a lot of memory, but Chrome is still very fast.
