They are on version 5+ already and there is STILL no way to remove headers and footers when printing or change the margins.

Unless I'm totally missing this......?

There are two other little glitches as well - the browser will put a deathgrip cache on occasion and I forget the third.

I also don't like that javascript errors aren't alerted.

It's the only reason I still use IE - to print without headers/footers and to see the JavaScript errors.

Now with version 6... hhmmm, where is Page Setup, Page preview...?! I sometimes wonder whether they cut back on these options to make things 'simple' - but these are essentials!

It's also the only application that occasionally crashes my machine (BSOD) - for several versions now.

I too like Chrome, and use it all the time, but...

I thank google for creating a new browser, chrome is still a beta, but I am waiting for their stable version. Still a beta but has fast transfer rate compare to IE and Mozilla FF. In the near future, chrome will be the most invincible browser hopefully.

Chrome came out of beta almost 2 years ago and is now well into version 6! Only if you want to try out the very latest version of Chrome do you need to use a beta. Google Chrome BETA [google.com]

I've been using Chrome as my secondary browser the past couple of weeks for when I need Flash (I usually use IE8-64 bit). I've never gotten a BSOD, but many lockups, most often choking on -- of all sites -- YouTube.

Well, I don't recall having had any lock-ups per se, just full blown BSOD's! This would generally occur after I have been running Chrome without issue all day, closed it down, perhaps with all other running applications (with the view to shutting up for the day). Then restart Chrome, because I'd forgotten to do something, and bang - BSOD - occasionally! Even when all other apps have been closed. I generally have a lot of tabs open (30+), but 98% of the time that's not a problem!

Sorry for almost necroposting, but have you tried to search through Chrome's bug tracking system? Maybe there are already tickets for this. In fact, I would be surprised if there aren't any.

TBH the system crashes I've experienced have been so infrequent and seemingly random (and always at the end of the day) to not really be an issue thankfully. The first BSOD (win32k.sys identified as the culprit) of this nature that I noted was in Feb 2009 and have occurred roughly every few months, the last being in August 2010. As stated above, this is nearly always when simply restarting Chrome, although this has also occurred when changing tabs.

However, I have had a search through the list of reported Chrome bugs [code.google.com] and there does indeed seem to be one that matches - Issue 10011: BSOD in win32k.sys on XP SP3 [code.google.com], first reported in April 2009. However, it's actually listed as "WontFix" and the problem appears to be "a known bug in Microsoft's win32k.sys driver, which they have issued a hotfix for.". Well I'll be damned! This 'bug in win32k.sys' supposedly got introduced during a Windows Security Update (KB954211) - which, according to my Windows Update logs, was installed back in October 2008!? Eeesh!
