Chrome used to work fine, but now every time a dialog box comes up, I have to click somewhere to get it to appear. In other words, things like the file save dialog box always pop up hidden until I click.
If there's a page that's pretty JS intensive, like GMail, it's terrible. The browser locks up. For example, I discard a draft and Chrome pops up a modal confirmation. Except in my case, it is not visible. If I click on the screen, it will briefly become visible, but for 1/10 of a second.
Getting it to show usually involves waiting a very long time (5 minutes) and switching to give some other application the focus, then coming back to Chrome, then clicking randomly to give the dialog box the focus.
I've tried disabling all extensions, but that did nothing to improve the situation.
So while Chrome was on the way to becoming my favorite browser for it's clean look and fast response, it's now mostly a useless toy.
Ideas?
