Four years after offering special placement in a “top stories carousel” in search results to entice publishers to use a format it created for mobile pages, called AMP, Google announced last week that it will end that preferential treatment in the spring.

and in all events AMP is on the path of extinction.

I did try it , when it was new, was not impressed by the results, my pages were slower with AMP ! So I never used it in production.

And in all events, I didn't like the idea my pages be served by Google's cache...
