Does AMP work with older 'feature phones'?

We're setting up mobile pages for Indonesia, where many users still have older feature phones. Our current approach is m.domain for older phones and a responsive site for newer phones. We're also experimenting with AMP.

I'd like to remove the m.domain pages for various reasons, but am not sure if AMP will work on legacy phones (these phones are not able to use our responsive site).

Depends on the mobile browser.
