On a recent contact with G Ads I got the distinct feeling I was chatting with an AI.
It kept answering a question it wanted me to ask, rather than the question I was in fact asking.
It was a text interaction IIRC, I terminated it, it wasn't helping me at all.

@Mark_A The surprise for me was that it took them so long.

Part of the issue is that a human structures the question based upon their individual needs and understanding, and most of these tools just have a best guess.

I have yet to find one that works to resolve anything but the simplest of queries. Sometimes even the front line human support is as bad.

It's all about the cost race to the bottom, instead of exceeding quality.

@engine yes human support can also be disappointing. My last discussion with them they seemed very keen to make a change to my account, and it didn't seem to matter what that change was as long as something changed. Perhaps that is how they are incentivised I don't know.
