Never make changes in AdWords you don't understand fully. I have been told that the only goal of an account rep is to get you to use a new feature. New features are great if you know how to use them.
What did they have you do?

Yep -- they continually try and push me to spend more and more on mobile, even after showing them it simply does not convert for my site. Yet they still try, every time we speak.

All they ever tell me is to raise my bid. I don't even bother talking to them anymore.

It depends on who you get, I've had the usual (raise bids, try these new features) but I've also had some reps. do their homework on my campaigns and provide some solid advice.
