Best keyword competition tool?

What's best for Google keywords: Spyfu, Keyword Spy or Compete?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking into purchasing a keyword competition tool.

Does anyone have a preference among the major tools, like Spyfu, Keyword Spy and Compete?

I'm looking for that which most accurately reports Google PPC keywords.

ask for a short trial (or make sure you can cancel and get a refund) and see if they can report your own keywords to you, to make sure they work first. :-)

How do you find the keywords your competitors are targeting using the Adwords tool?

I use a tool called google.com, type a term in the box and search for it, if you see the competitor's ad, you've found either:

- a keyword they exact match bid on
- a longer tail version of, or a precise phrase match keyword they bid on
- a broad match of anything in the same language (or other language) (or a made up word)

Sorry, couldn't resist :)

As RhinoFish hinted, I don't think anything can accurately do this for you, short of a Google insider!

I appreciate everyone's feedback. We're just looking for a comparison between the major competitive keyword research tools, mostly. I see a lot of people are split between Keyword Spy and Spyfu.
