QS update on content and search

11/9/06 Google fubars content AND search QS yet again!

This is awful and its getting old.

Google is getting downright greedy and is calling it "QS" as an excuse to charge us more.

Here's one example:
I have a keyword, "fish" (for example), it gets 40% CTR, no other bidders on it (exclusive trademark usage), page is as optimized as it can be (Fortune 100 website) ...... bid used to be $0.03 -NOW- $0.25.

Some folks are getting hit with ridiculous $5 minimum bids.

How can Google send a bot to my site and tell me that my site's quality is junk? Suppose my site is completely image based (and I do use alt tags), how can they determine QS?

It's all junk. Sure they are trying to wipe out the MFA guys but jeez, this is pure greed.

Big G needs to understand that this cow can only be milked for so much. Go milk your new GOOTUBE cow.

My guess is that if G sees lots of Adwords traffic in and lots of PPC traffic out without much in between then the algorithm decides it is a "Low Quality" Site. Maybe there's more to it than that, but I blieve that is the main factor.
