Hi, I am in an unusual situation, my account is about 22 years old now, way before ID verification was a thing. I moved from the country where I opened it many years ago, still have my bank account in that country so still being paid every month and have for years, I never closed the account as the country I moved to did not have adsense available. Now it is available I would like to close my account and open a new one here due to new regulations with my bank, well possible, they are saying new regulations means I may not be able to bank with them anymore as a non resident.

Problem is I cannot get ID verified as I was not a citizen of that country, I just had a long visa which I could renew due to ancestry, the government issued ID expired a few years back and cant renew as not a resident. Now in my account it says get id verified to receive payment yet no link to upload anything, it has said that for years and I am still getting paid. Issue is everywhere I look it says you cannot delete account if you are not ID verified(?), anyone know if you can on these legacy accounts without ID verification? Should I just remove all my sites, remove all code, abandon the account and open a new one with new email/bank/country and hope? I just do not want to click on close account and ID verification comes up and it might make things more complicated.
