At this rate, it will take me 3 to 4 months to make minimum in order to get paid so that I can close my AdSense account. I still have not heard anything back from AdSense.

Do you guys use any other analytics to measure the website traffic other than google analytics and adsense? I feel since lately the figures on google analytics and adsense are a bit off (very low), any of you have feel the same?

I've been experimenting with Microsoft Clarity. It provides a different angle to Google Analytics.

So. Worst January in 10 years coming off the back of the second best year. All started going wrong in November. Any ideas?

@Surfgatinho, same here. Something happened in November no doubt...Crazy we are going through the exact same thing with the exact same timeline. They made some changes, I just wish I knew WHAT, forget the why, the people do whatever the want, but if we at least knew what changed, maybe we can adapt, smh.

I am removing all AS from both my sites today. No big loss, as it will take me at least two more months to even make the minimum. They can keep what is already on the books as they obviously need it more than I do.

Something I've noticed is CPC has remained fairly constant YoY whilst CPM has nose-dived. So advertisers are still paying for clicks.

Another thing I spotted is the exact correlations between the China traffic spikes and drops in CPM: around 10th Oct, 4th Nov, 1st Dec and 21st Dec.Go look at your analytics and your CPM for this period - one is an upside down graph of the other.

This all started around the end of September - which is when my CPM started to go all over the place and downhill.

So, theories? Either advertisers got burned or Google is having a technical / credibility problem.

Adsense and GA analytics are inferior to Matomo's. Approximately 4,000 fewer page views on my site

I’ve seen similar mismatches between GA and AdSense lately, especially around traffic spikes. Did someone use AdsPower for this or boost your earnings since each profile stays separated?

Don't want to jinx myself, but CPM seems to have improved a little the last day or two.

Three weeks ago, I finally signed the decree and ended my long-term relationship with Google AdSense. For over 20 years, we were inseparable, though lately, it had devolved into a "mostly hate, occasionally tolerated" situation.

Honestly, it wasn’t me; it was definitely them.

After the last couple of years of watching pennies trickle in like a leaky faucet, we decided to see other people. I’m currently back on the dating scene, flirting with other monetization options and looking for a partner who actually remembers my anniversary—or at least pays for dinner once in a while. lol

It is incredible how in the last 3 days, the CPM is even lower. It is like a race to the bottom.

After a two-week trial with another ad company, I think it might be time to head back to AdSense and try to patch things up. My earnings are dropping daily—my pageview RPM is down to $1.32, and it feels like a "clawback" is happening every single day. Even with all its faults, my impression RPM was better with AdSense. This is the second company I’ve tried in a month, and honestly, things just seem tough across the board right now. No quick fixes here, just the reality of the grind!

Hi everyone, I don't normally post on forums, but I've created an account anyway. Mainly because this is an annoying problem. I've been experiencing a huge drop in revenue of about 70% for a few days now. I've tried everything, but I can't figure out the problem.

I finally came to this conclusion with ChatGPT:

---------
1) What changed in 2026 with Goodle Adsense

Google has implemented a change to their TCF policy as of 2026:

AdSense recently requires:

--> The TC string must be service-specific
--> Global TC strings are no longer fully accepted
--> If the CMP doesn't generate service-specific consent; 5.2 errors, limited ads, RPM loss

That change was actually introduced around February 2026; this explains the sudden drop in revenue.

There's no getting around it: Google no longer accepts global scope.

------

My cookie banner from Complianz and Ad Inserter Pro don't seem to be able to handle this. The TCF string is globally scoped instead of service-specific.
--> As a result, Google continues to serve limited ads.

I've contacted the cookie banner's creator about this, but they are "very busy." So maybe that's the problem.

So fewer ads are being shown, of lower quality, or with empty fields.

Which cookie banner are you using, and could this be the problem?

@allhearts - I've found the alternatives to be a waste of time, but I fully appreciate that may not be the case with some verticals

@Snellius - I'm currently using the AdSense CMP. it's very easy to enable and works well
