AdSense vs Header Bidding

Any views on this in 2025? My experience:

I've partnered with two header bidders, both of whom I consider reputable. However, extensive A/B testing has shown very little measurable difference in the revenue generated. Additionally, AdSense is more polished, both in terms of the ads displayed and the reporting interface. Therefore, I'm increasingly of the view that working with header bidding agencies is a waste of time.

Thoughts?

I have come to the same conclusion.

They are all the same and, in the end, they never really beat Adsense at the revenue game which is Numero Uno for me.

With the added JS bloat they bring and yet-another interface to watch, I no longer bother with header bidder companies in 2025.

But don't the header bidding games take a boat load more traffic?

Since I started this thread, I've been contacted numerous times by header bidder agencies. Needless to say, they were all offering a pot of gold over and above AdSense. It would be amusing if it wasn't so farcical. One of the most persistent has been an agency I worked with in the past; the guy there is obviously completely oblivious to the fact.
