Waiting for the next month and thinking that a magic touch will change everything is an immense illusion.

@Sissi is absolutely right. It's hard work every day. From Sunday to Sunday.

Google/AdSense is a partner, not a parent. If publishers don't strive to create excellent content, there is no miracle that will save them.

I'm not asking for a miracle, I have put in my work for the last almost 10 years and continue to do so, like many have that have been affected by the drop in traffic as well.

@allhearts

My message was not directed to you. If I offended you, I apologize.

I'm here to help, not judge.

But many publishers are waiting for a miracle. And that won't happen, even if you work hard. Working hard is not a number of hours. But the efficiency of work.

The internet has changed. The search has changed. Google has changed. Users have changed the way they search. Those who don't adapt will disappear. This is a fact.

It's cliché, but after I applied "EVERYTHING" I read in this link, I started to increase in the SERPs.

July 1 is always the WORST Adsense day of the year.

Down 23% from last year. Not much left. I've been doing contract work the past 6 months to make up the difference, but the company I contraction through lost their contract so I need to find another contract at the end of July. This is the new norm. Oh, well.

Sorry to hear that @gatormark,

if it's any consolation, many of us are on the same boat, I know it doesn't fix anything but just know that you are not alone.

THE WORST START EVER. 85% down

June granted me some breathing room finally with very minimal clawback(!)

July is off to a lower start after just one day but I feel like a squirrel in 2024; having to put away my treasures throughout a bountiful summer so I have something to live off of in the cold dark winter ahead.

Hold on to your nuts, people.

For starters I'm really sorry to read here that so many have lost income due to the switch to the CPM only model. I have absolutely no idea why but for what ever reason my income from Adsense has more than doubled since the switch to the CPM only model. Shockingly it has returned to nearly the same levels of income I took in from 2013 thru 2016 before it started to drop off. I have a feeling though that this could be temporary but I'm hoping for the best. There must be others out there like me who have seen a huge increase, I cannot image that I am alone. I would love to understand what the difference is between sites that have lost income and sites that income has gone up.

Another big difference is from day to day the income earned is extremely consistent, it never seems to change by more 1% up or down which I've never seen happen before.

@1164mgc,

For me is not so much the switch, it’s about the drop in traffic that is hurting me, RPM is about the same now as it was before.

The same. In my opinion there is no difference between Cpc and cpm. But unfortunately, with cpm I have less traffic and earnings. With Cpc, I could compensate for this because I would probably achieve a similar number of clicks thanks to optimization.

I have noticed since Google decreased traffic I improved the theme of my site and optimized CSS for better Core Web Vitals that my RPMs increased.

So maybe changing the theme can improve the RPM if it's lightweight & fast, just a thought not necessarily a fact.

TLDR; traffic down, RPM up.

Is the 4th of July affecting your earnings?

Dismal week here for me, RPM/earnings have never been this low.

Hopefully your all doing better than I am.

@allhearts

For me the July 4th impact is very much dependent on site content: I have properties that did extremely well (outdoors, family-based) over the course of the weekend while others did extremely poorly (news, current events-based). At least today (Monday) people are back at the office ready to fart around on the Internet as the weekend hangover wears off.

July marks a new business quarter (Q3) so I suspect ad spend got rebooted / retooled for a lot of companies. Might account for lower RPMs coming off the holiday weekend.

In mid-june RPM dropped like crazy in a couple of days. Don't see any change, but I have passed the 100$ threshold. Thinking about switching to ezoic...

@etay2k,

Tried EZOIC, what a waist of time and loss of money.

I thought Adsense was bad when I tried it, after trying EZOIC for a few weeks, I was so disappointed that I went running back to Adsense.

Although we have all seen better days with Adsense, I still believe that it’s the best option.

Good luck if you do and I hope it works out for you.

Why do earnings and rpm jump from day to day with constant traffic? there is no logic to it

This is because the ads offers are not constant.

@allhearts

In the past, I received a lot of emails from Ezoic, but I ignored them. And they were very persistent with emails. Exceptionally, but I also refuse.

As far as I know, they are nothing but some kind of a bridge between the publisher and Adsense, which have their own way of automatic optimization and take a certain percentage of the revenue. It also seems to me that their DNS must be set, which has always put me off from them.

I think that their optimization efficiency has also weakened, because Adsense autoads also work on the optimization algorithm for the best place on the website.

Then why pay for Ezoic, when autoads from Adsense basically offers the most important thing, which is Adsense optimization without any extra payment for that service.

@dolcevita,

Thanks for breaking that down, that is exactly what they do.

The ads on my site were all over, in many cases one right after the other and sometimes 3 in a row.

I'm just wonder of anyone have right now by sites overview both www. domain and same domain without www.?

It appeared at the same time as Offerwall and I think that the same domain with and without www. could have something to do with Offerwall, but I'm not 100% sure.

So the question for those who use, and especially those who do not use Offerwall, is whether they have the same domain without www. and from www. and gave that domain without www. any statistics?

I don’t use offerwall and see the same domain with and without www, although my domain by default is supposed to show with the www, but without the www I only have 2 page views.

see the same domain with and without www
Google sees these "two" variations as two different (and duplicate) websites. You should look through the Apache forum to see how to choose one or the other.
