Is there anybody around who doesn't have a CMP implemented and is still displaying ads?
What are the repercussions?
I am really curious what will happen.
In my case, I get the message in the policy center:
"Ad serving at risk" / "Consent requirement: No CMP". But it's not even a "must fix" error. I guess in worst case they will turn ads off...which would be quite bad...
But they have clearly done anything yet since they are still displaying personalized ads.
The funny thing is:
Some of my pages contextual ads earn a higher CPM then personalised ads. I also tried to switch of personalised ads in my account but it didn't work: When I switched personalised ads off Adsense still displayed personalised ads....
Further, Google is working on "limited Ads" which are ads that do not need consent. They are available for Admob and Admanager, but not for Adsense.
Hope these limited Ads coming soon. Does anybody have experience how these limited ads perform compared to normal Adsense?
Since they cannot be personalised I was wondering if they might have a similar performance like contextual ads.
