Hi!

I've a big problem, I'm quasi sure that someone want to ban me of adsense...

The problem in details :

- my earnings have increase by 400%
- same amount of click as before
- same CPC as before
- same number of page views

What I've done :

- I removed all adsense block codes from my website
- I've put an empty <ins class="adsbygoogle"></ins> and logeg clicks on that, but no click, so no bot are clicking on it.
- I've write to "invalid traffic report" support but no news because of holidays.
- check if my ads.txt is OK

The situation now :

- earnings are still increasing but there is no click on ads (my adsense account show earnings without click, and no page views)

I really don't know the reason why this happen, I think about 2 causes possible :

1) a competitor of me want to ban me ?
2) another advertiser (adense competitor) want to ban me ? And when I will be banned, the only solution for me will to use a competitor of adsense...it is vicious but possible...

The main questions are :

- how is it possible to have (a lot of) earnings without click and without page views? what is the technology used to do such a vicious thing ?
- what to do more to not to be banned ?

thanks for having reading this

bests regards

welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com], frenchhorn!

i cannot offer an answer as i'm not current with adsense experience, but someone more well-informed than i will surely offer their thoughts.
keep in mind that things are a bit slow on this holiday weekend.

No time for a long post so;
TLDR; version
Disable First Party Cookies. This should solve the problem.

When I have some more time I'll post links to all the some past threads were similar issues were discussed and provide more explanations.

Hi FrenchHorn
Saw your question at webrankinf :)
Why disabling first party cookies if you have increased revenues why is it illegal if Adsense has put this option.

Therefore I retiterate my question
Is this option having any impact on revenues in general excluding FrenchHorn situation?

can this be a clue? (founded in appache2 access.log)

11.111.111.111 - - [30/Dec/2021:03:16:27 +0000] "PROPFIND /my-image.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 7149 "-" "Apache OpenOffice/4.1.7"

I had never heard before about a PROPFIND http request

That looks like a local view of a page, as in an editor. "Apache OpenOffice/4.1.7" is not a user agent so much as an editor, but whether the request is authorized or coming from a scraper, it appears to be what you might see in logs when a person is editing pages. OpenOffice is sort of like MSOffice suite with tools to build and edit pdf, txt, html, csv - various files. Try a lookup of the actual IP to see whether it might be an employee?

Perhaps I've something :

is it possible that the click bot use the cache of google (I mean https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/ ) ? Can this explain there is no, page views, no click counted but some money done ?

I doubt that this has anything to do with the Google cache. Clicks on ads in the cache would appear in you accounts as coming from the cache and would only be recorded if you have verified google's cache as a domain in AdSense.

That said here are a couple links to thread from earlier this year were others have described exactly the same situation yours:
[webmasterworld.com...]
[webmasterworld.com...]
Note there are more, some are linked within these threads others can be found by clicking on the names of the thread participants and going through their "recent activity" links. Finally you can use the search box in top right.

Also, here is a link to a document that describes how to prevent click-jacking, based on the threads above it doesn't solve the issue but it is good security measure to put in place regardless and your case could be different.

You pages are showing up in someone elses iframes.

Do not allow other sites to put your site in an iframe and do not allow adsense to generate revenue on any domain but the one YOU approve.

Problem solved.
