How do I pick up my payments in Belgium ?

Hello ,

I need some help to get my payments please! my payment is available for pick-up as from 22-Jan-2021. I went today to pick up my payment at a local Western Union agent but nothing he couldn't help me! He told me to contact Google! I actually went to another two agents in the city where I live but same story they don't know or they don't give cash! I looked up on the web site of WU and it says - Your payment is available for pick-up on 22-Jan-2021.Pick up your payment at a local Western Union agent! so what is wrong with the agents here ?

Could you help me please ?
and is there an email to contact AdSense not the community questions ?

Someone had a similar problem here about a month ago: [webmasterworld.com...]

In that case it was an ID card that had expired, In any case it says that WU holds the money 45 days or you can contact AdSense and ask them about reissuing later. It may take communication with both WU and AdSense for the best answer.

This is not similar problem, WU were not accepting the expired ID card of @SebMP . As for @Hatim, from what I understsand, WU says there is no money awaiting for him.

That being said, are you sure, a WU payment is awaiting you? Because, Adsense announced it was discontinuing WU in 2021: [support.google.com...] .

Since you are in Belgium, why didn't you use a bank account , to cash your payment? This is the right way to do.

In "early 2021". They don't seem to have announced the exact date yet. Until then, I'm sure the WU payments will continue to go through.

You can contact AdSense support through the Help panel, but this sounds like a WU problem, if they say it's ready for pick-up. I'd call them and ask why there's a pick-up notice but the local branches won't or can't hand out the cash: [westernunion.com...]

Thanks a lot for your reactions to my questions! I'm sure that there is a payment " I looked it up on the web site of WU and it says - Your payment is available for pick-up on 22-Jan-2021.Pick up your payment at a local Western Union agent " and it's actually for a closed account and I couldn't change the payment method to a bank transfer so I had no choice for this one! I'll contact WU and see what they say! thanks a lot for your help everyone!

I looked it up on the web site of WU and it says

So, since you are seeing the notice on the site of WU, did you show this notice to your WU local office? (print, or showing it from the screen of your smartphone). there is certainly an ID number, a code bar, a QR code, that the local office can use to track your payment and tell you what is hapenning.

Yeah I looked it up myself afterwards ;) so I didn't went back cause I already provided the agent with tracking number (MTCN)! apparently most people here use bank transfer!

For accountancy, income declarations, and stuff like that, a bank account is mandatory for not getting into troubles.

Thank you JorgeV for mentioning the income declaration, I got this answer from WU

" Thank you very much for contacting Western Union.

We can see that the money transfer is not ready to be picked up in Belgium.

Kindly contact the sender of the transaction for further information, because we are not allowed to give much information to the receiver. "

Why not EFT? Google sends their payments to Belgium from their Ireland office. Payments between EU countries arrive within 24 hours and without costs.

Besides that, you have to think about the VAT and tax issues arising from accepting AdSense payments through Western Union because Google normally sends their payments without deducting VAT, so you have to arrange that with your local tax authorities.

I'm closing an old account and WU was my method for payments.
still WU here can't help! here what they are saying
" Normally we only provide information to the sender of a transaction. We can only inform you that this transaction cannot be picked up in Belgium.
Unfortunately, as mentioned previously, we cannot give you more information regarding this transaction." // security reasons :-)

is there any way I could reach the sender " google Ireland " ?

Maybe it is because of the announcement that Google will stop supporting Western Union [support.google.com] at the beginning of 2021?

Can you still log in to the AdSense account and change the method of payment, or is the account already closed? The main way to get support is through their Support Help page [support.google.com].

Click the question mark icon at the top right in AdSense, then choose "Contact us".

I don't see this question mark , only see your payments! it's a closed account
