Hi,
I have an active AdSense account (for about 10 years). I currently have 1 site listed in my account, but since I had stopped displaying ads a long time ago, my site requires another review (its status is "Requires review").
Before submitting my site for a new review, I went through (almost) all AdSense Help documents to get myself and my site up to date with the current rules and policies. I did some minor modifications on my site and updated my Privacy Policy to reflect all the new regulations and policies. What I need as one last thing is the cookie consent mechanism and I am a bit confused there.
I read [
cookiechoices.org ] (as well as many other pages on Google and other sites), and [
support.google.com...] which explains options for consent mechanism. I see the dots but got stuck in connecting them.
Say, if I choose to use option 2 of the above support article (2. Publisher uses Funding Choices (Beta)), then I guess I should create a Google Ad Manager account via [
admanager.google.com...] page, then link my AdSense account to Google Ad Manager via the instructions on [
support.google.com...] page or [
support.google.com...] page (?). Then, will I be controlling AdSense (getting my ad codes etc.) via normal AdSense interface or via Ad Manager interface? Should I create the Google Ad Manager account before or after sending my site for a new review?
After linking my AdSense account to Ad Manager, if I follow the steps on option 2 of the above support article (2. Publisher uses Funding Choices (Beta)), will a cookie consent notice be displayed on my site? Will it track given consents and act upon user's choice of allowing and disallowing cookies properly?
Any help from experienced users will be appreciated very much. I've been going over the Help Documents for over a month and I want to do things right (or, as right as possible) before submitting my site for a new review.
Thank you very much!
