Things are all over the place for me. Since March 25ish, my Google Analytics sessions and page views/impressions don't match my other analytics tool (analytics tool is showing twice as many sessions as Google Analytics). The two analytics tools used to be fairly consistent before then. As others mentioned, CPC has halved since January, but my page views have quadrupled according to one analytics tool (and doubled according to Google Analytics). All in all I'm doing fairly well but something seriously weird is going on.

Has anyone run a split test to see if CPMs via header bidding provide more?

Good God ! People! This week started slow compared to the last two weeks. As after the steep fall in eCPM rates we saw considerable amount of rise. And then it started gradually falling again this week and today it has hit a new low.

Where eCPM rates were generally $0.80 to $1, today its around $0.03 or less. And for those who used to receive around $0.20-$0.30 there eCPM rates are now $0.01 or just zero.

Can't complain about the traffic because its good since the last couple of weeks.

Logged in today and only earned $2.70 cents. How depressing, same amount of traffic as well.

If anyone wants to run a small split test to compare AdSense with header bidding, let me know

So, I am curious about ones whose income has dropped down to almost nothing. Is your traffic primarily from the United States or other countries? The reason I ask is that, for me, Adsense USA generated income is “only” down about 35%. Also, most my websites are educational and not specific to “dead” industries like travel.

The us traffic is constant si about 30_40%

The problem is the economy.

Is HALT!

I believe that May it will be a disasaster.
I’m at 35-40% of my usual revenue, so layoffs soon!

Btw, for me the big drop is not Adsense, is AdManager!

@Mentat I think May will be a little better since some USA advertising is coming back because they want the USA stimulus money.

@gatormark The sites primarily gets traffic from all English speaking countries. Ad US traffic is improving. But that was the stat of last week. This week till now I have seen a lot of increment and then I have seen a lot of fall too.

Have adsense some problem? I have problem because for me some advert dont show. Its show advert in post, but another advert on top not. This is doing only on chrome. On firefox everything working.

Do you have same problem? Ad experience is ok. If i insered another advert not from adsense, then also appear on chrome. Only adsense some adverts not seen.

Common, this is getting dangerous.

On a bad day this year, I had X$ after 8 hours.
Now I have this sum after 20 hours and it does not seems to be stuck.

The eCPM is 40% of the usual low value.

On the same time, Google as an advertising business is doing great!

For me, April is up 8% over March.

@gatormark lucky. Our traffic has nearly doubled, and our revenues are off a cliff. March was really strong for us, even the end of it. Ah well.

@adtech2 what's strange is that it's my small websites that are doing better than previously. My large, main, website with 3+ million views a month is still down. 85% USA traffic.

@gatormark - we are down about 80% (if you look at what normal monetization is, for the increased traffic) and closer to 50% on revenue vs. March.

We are mostly US and working mainly with video. Video has taken a massive hit, which makes sense I guess.

Display side has re-strengthened but is still about 40% down for us.

We also have a lot of volume, a total of 90m available in-stream and viewable video impressions a month along with 150-180m display impressions available a month.

Now that May is here, something very weird is going on with Adsense. For April, they are only showing search earnings and no earnings for all other ads.

I guess they were just delayed. Still 9.5% clawback for April.

It looks that after negative interest rates and negative oil price, Adsense will let publishers pay the advertisers.

Nothing surprises me !

1% clawback, traffic +20%, RPM down by about 20%, year to year

Saw a significant RPM drop in the last week of April. Rest of the month was pretty good.
