I received an email telling me that Google will optimize my ads for me unless I opt out within 7 days.

"To help you grow, we’re going to optimize your ad settings for you"

Thanks for asking but, no. I have extensively A/B tested my own placements and settings for years and repeatedly watched Google run experiments and optimize but each time I allowed it they tanked my earnings by 80% and focused on cpm ads,

Image ads and ad networks pay by impression, I want to be paid per click, The earnings difference is huge in my niche.

I fear it won't be long before Google's insistance means we part ways.

The good thing is, you have seven days to opt out :)

I'm thankful I wasn't sick this week, I may have missed the email and have had them change my account settings otherwise.

I appreciate the suggestions from Google, and tend to try most on my own, but this is decidedly more pushy imo.

but this is decidedly more pushy imo.

Google are in it for Google.

The way the world is at present, and into the foreseeable future where capitalist countries have become rabid socialists overnight [hooray] we will I believe see at the end of all this, demands for a whole new world. A whole new economic world.

I think among those demands will be for legislation to break up all the multinational juggernauts. Perhaps not across the USA but certainly elsewhere around the world.

For the present, as for lives and economics - there is much worse yet to come - much, much worse.

Following upon the post WW11 attitude and example of ordinary people - we want better, we expect better, and we demand better will become the new mantra.

It is the defining "better" that has always been the bump in the road. For any/all bodies.

"Better" It worked extensively right across Australia post WW2 throughout the decades until the new century where greed finally took over..

The most significant change by a mile was people going from being perpetual renters to being home owners. Modern absurd price levels in recent years have changed that 65 year trend.

Just followed dolcevita advice - Adsense-Optimisation - Opportunities

Result?
Automatic experiments are off
Turn on automatic experiments to optimise faster and unlock revenue potential
You have no opportunities at the moment
Check back later for new opportunities. In the meantime, try running an experiment to improve the performance of your ad set-up. Go to experiments
