I have a sports new publishing website and I am getting 100,000 visitors each month. But I am only able to generate $150/month. Is there any way to increase revenue?

There is an old thread here that offers some still good ideas about how to earn more with AdSense: [webmasterworld.com...]

So much depends on niche, ad placement, stickiness, quality of traffic, etc., etc., but $150 for 100,000 visitors sound about right since I think the average Adsense RPM is $1 or $2. The bottom line is how well your traffic converts for advertisers. To get more of them to the advertisers' sites, you can try adding more content to increase pageviews - matched content can help with that, too - repositioning ads or trying different sizes. Vignette auto ads work well for me, as do link units. Not so with every site, though. It's really a matter of trial and error to see what works.

Hello-

How to Increase Google AdSense Revenue

- Get more traffic,
- Improve its quality,

100,000 visitors each month

It might sounds big, but that is "only" 3000 /day so ~ $5 / $6, so your figures are coherent.

Your site is informational, about a non commercial subject. Ads which are producing the higher earnings are ads targeting buyers of a product or service, which is not the main profile of your visitors.

Beside sports news, you might try to develop other aspects of sports. Like for example writing about the practice of sports, the material required. You can also write reviews about sports items. Just random thoughts. (Keep in mind that, the more a niche attracts high paying advertisers, the more sites are already exploiting it...)
