November, high season for me, turned out to be the worst month of the year for me. My pageviews increased by 20% year to year, but RPM was very low.

November is the 1st month this year that sees a lower revenue than the same month last year.

Somrthing happened around October 17th, as my active view viewable stats started to decline. This decline is still going on and I feel that the loading time of the ads is to blame for this. The adsense ads load about 1 second after the page content.

I have seen several odd things last month, such as the Serp snippets displaying my cookie banner text. I had ads in Turkish, German and other weird languages, or quite often no ads at all on dynamic pages.

My Uk RPM is, already for 2 months, lower than that of India, which also makes no sense to me.

Too many oddities for me to figure out whats happening to my site and adsense ads. I hope it will bounce back and I will keep producing quality content.

Hit with invalid traffic penalty on dec 23.
I assume because I created a Facebook page and promoted it on Facebook itself (to get a few likes).
Google does not like one bit when they can't control 100% of your traffic sources.
So now making $0/day.
Waiting for account restoration that could take anywhere from 3 days to forever (they don't tell you).
It's so stupid I'm so tired.
How did we let a Google become this almighty entity?

Since last Thursday my revenue from Adsense dropped a lot. This years end of the year boost was short and compared to other years very disappointing.

R.I.P. Adsense

The worst day for me in 8-9 years. It’s the post Christmas blues. This decrease happens every year, but this year is unprecedented. I was afraid this would happen. January will be interesting,’to say the least.

This month is going extremely well but not thanks to Adsense. For example yesterday: 7 leads of 40 euro each, 1 lead of 60 euro and 1 of 50. Adsense not even 30 euro.

It helped me a lot to find affiliates that fit well with my niche. It was necessary with the bad performance of Adsense this year. Now Google Ad Manager is my solution for success and serving other ads. I looked to my Adsense CPM last year and this year, it's more than 20 percent down that's just huge with almost 40 million of ad impressions this year.

Post X-mas usually isn't bad for me historically. But I am hanging on and just waiting for 1/1 RPM massacre. Historically it's nearly 30% of december RPM.

Today's RPM is a bit more than half of the average of this month's RPM... delusional.

This month in percentages:

Impressions of ads: Adsense 60%, header bidding 10% and in house and affiliate ads about 30%.

Earnings: Adsense about 30%, header bidding 10% and in house and affiliate ads about 60%.

I've made a list of advertisers that show up a lot in Adsense and I'll contact them if they want to advertise directly. Adsense seems to be over or at least for serious business.

Yesterday one of our site earned $5 from adsense. But I am now seeing its only $2. Usually I don't make mistakes when it involves money and also I don't forget things. But now I am wondering whether my memory is serving me right.

^^ With such small amounts it is very possible that $3 was taken away from you. It could be 1 or many clicks deducted, you will never know.

One of my non-Adsense advertising platforms went from a 37% fill rate in December to 5% starting off this month. Yikes!

The next decade of Adsense! Here goes Jan 2020 :-)

Happy new year all.

2019 ended up being 15% less then 2018. Visitor numbers were about the same.

I’ve worked out about 15% of my visitors are using Adblock - so I’m going to focus on that this year.

I’m tempted to try auto-ads this year. Right now I use divs to strict enforce 728x90 ads on desktop and a fixed size on mobile.

Has anyone having a significant drop in RPM and revenue on the start of this year?

Compared to yesterday yes, about half of RPM left. It's insane and possible with small numbers of visitors but I had already more than 100K ad impressions this year.

"Invalid traffic concerns" penalty seems lifted. The warning is still there but ads are back and money's coming in again.
In total it was 9 days of 0 ads.
I read on AdSense forums about people not getting back for months, so I'm lucky.
I'd be careful to run a Facebook campaign again.

Page RPM fell from 0.57-0.70~ in December to 0.29~ in January.
Am i alone?

I want to know if it's due to previous penalty or not.

You are not alone, every single year there is huge drop in RPM. You can track all those changes on Ezoic (google "ezoic ad revenue index")

Does anyone know how long takes google to update your eligibility for matched content and what the requirements are for it?
