Bot traffic counted?

Do adsense page views include bot traffic?

I'm seeing page view inflation and was wondering if this can be caused by excessive bot traffic. Does anyone know if adsense includes bot traffic in its page view count? Just curious if anyone knows this definitively, or not. And if so, how do you know? Thanks!

If the bot is capable of loading the page with ads, then yes that's possible. I blocked an IP range recently that was responsible for quite a lot of pageviews, and RPM shot up after that.

See if you can drill down to the source of the inflation in Analytics. Reports like Audience > Technology > Network can be helpful (along with your access logs, of course).
