Why do I see googleads.g.doubleclick.net in Analytics?
I don't have an Adwords account, nor any affiliates.

I have ads on the site, and every time I have seen googleads.g.doubleclick.net as a referrer on Analytics, it's been on a page where there are adverts.

I have ads on the site, and every time I have seen googleads.g.doubleclick.net as a referrer on Analytics, it's been on a page where there are adverts.

So this is it.

The reason you see it as a referer, can be multiple. Often, it can simply be a bug, in the ad itself which is causing a call to the current page. Things like that. If you open the console , in your web browser, you'll be amazed by the number of error message showing, when it comes to ads...

I have googleads.g.doubleclick.net as referrer too. The reason is you probably have Matched Content Unit in pages, (like me) and when someone click on links to your other pages displayed on this widget you will see on Analytics google......click.net referral.

I don't have a matched content unit. I did ages ago, but took it off around a year ago.
