The Adsense welcome page before you sign in is full of smiley people all grinning at you. It has been like that for ages and ages.
Time for a change perhaps?
Maybe one or two people wringing their hands in despair would be more realistic!

They should focus less on trying to recruit new suckers. That dilutes everyones share, except Google's of course. They should rather focus on improving the experience/revenue for the existing quality publishers. I always cringe when I see ads for AdSense running on my site.
