Are we allowed to hide responsive ad link unit and responsive ad banners on mobile and display them on desktop ? would that be fine with adsense TOS ? keeping in mind i will use a plugin to do it.

kind regards!

Yes, I think most of us do that... show different ad units to different devices.

But don't "hide" the ads, just display different ads.

For example,

responsive link 1- after content (displayed on both)

responsive link 2- after second prg (displayed only on desktop)

Responsive ad banner - before post (displayed only on mobile)

medium rectangle 300 x 250 - at middle (displayed on both)

how does it sound ?

Just don't use use CSS to display:none

Use media query to display one or the other: [w3schools.com...]

I don't know how to use Media Query, that is why I am using "Ad inserter plugin." I am confused :(

Plugins are a two-way street.

They make life easier for the site owner that doesn't fully understand how to get some things accomplished.

But by using the plugin, the site owner never has the opportunity to learn how to accomplish the task itself thus staying in the dark.

I think it's probably necessary to research how exactly that particular plugin accomplishes the task and find out how that methodology affects SEO.
